How Long Should It Take To Launch The Software For The First Time?

Learners only need to download software if the session is using ML3, our desktop application. Any users who are connecting via Zoom, Meet, or Mursion Magic, will not need to download any software.

We recommend you load the Mursion software 20 minutes before your scheduled start time. Please refer to the article below for additional timing information:

When Can I Join My Session?

In addition to the installation of the Mursion software, you may need to allow for additional time to download updates within the software before you will be allowed to join the simulation session. These updates contain the required files needed to generate the 3D Environments and Avatars included in your simulation. While these downloads usually take 1-2 minutes to complete, please anticipate that this could take up to 10 minutes to complete depending on your internet connection.

When running a new scenario for the first time, you will see an Install button in the top right corner of your screen. Click this button to begin the download of the required files.

Once these updates are run, the necessary files are stored to your computer and may be used again should you participate in another simulation that requires the same 3D Environments and Avatars. Future launches using this configuration will display a "Check for Updates" button in place of the above "Install" button.

Please note that if you are on a slower internet connection, the progress bar may appear to "get stuck" at certain percentage values. Should this happen, please be patient. If your system is still downloading updates after 10 minutes, your internet connection may be too slow or unstable.
