Joining a human-powered simulation

This article applies to joining sessions with a live Simulation Specialist.

When your session is scheduled, you will receive a confirmation email containing the session date, time, and session details. This email includes a link you can use to join the session.

You can also join the session by logging into the Portal. Beginning 30 minutes before your scheduled session start time, a banner will appear in the Portal with a Join Session button, allowing you to quickly access your session.

When you are ready to join the session, click Join Session from either your confirmation email or the Portal banner.

You will then enter the Mursion Magic web experience, where you will be prompted to select the microphone, speaker, and camera you would like to use during your session.

Your browser may also display pop-up messages requesting permission to access your camera and microphone. You must select Allow on these prompts to proceed with the session.

Once your devices are configured, you will be guided to the recording permissions screen. Select:

I Consent to allow the session to be recorded
I Do Not Consent to decline recording

After completing these steps, you will enter the simulation room. Your Simulation Specialist will join at the scheduled appointment time.

While waiting for your session to begin, you can click the cogwheel icon to test your audio and video devices and update your microphone, speaker, or camera selections if needed.
