Supported Browsers & Device Requirements
This article lists the browser, device, and connection requirements for human-powered and AI-powered simulations accessed through the Mursion Magic web portal.
- Recommended: Google Chrome (current version)
- Microsoft Edge (current version)
- Firefox (current version)
- Safari on macOS (current version)
We recommend setting one of these supported browsers as your system default so links from Mursion emails open correctly.
Internet Speed RequirementsParticipants need a minimum internet connection of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload to run a simulation smoothly. If a participant experiences lag, freezing, or dropped audio during a session, have them run a speed test first to rule out a connection issue.
Webcam RequirementsA webcam with a minimum resolution of 640x480 is required. Virtualized or emulated webcams — such as using a phone's camera as a laptop's webcam through a third-party app — are not supported.
Speakers & Microphone RequirementsA standard webcam microphone works for most participants, but we recommend a headset in noisy environments so the microphone only picks up the participant's voice. A webcam's built-in microphone is fine to use as long as it's selected as both the camera and microphone device in Mursion Magic's settings.
What to Do If You're on an Unsupported Browser or Device- Check which browser and version you're currently using.
- Download and switch to one of the supported browsers listed above.
- Set it as your default browser so future session links open correctly.
- If issues continue after switching, clear your browser's cache and cookies and try joining again.
