Audio & Video Permissions Troubleshooting Guide
This guide helps you diagnose and fix issues with microphone and camera access across different browsers and devices.
Before diving deeper, check these common issues:
- Your device is not muted (hardware mute switch or keyboard shortcut)
- No other app is using your camera/mic (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
- You selected the correct microphone/camera in your app
- You clicked Allow on any audio/video permission messages you received
- You refreshed the page after granting permissions
- Your browser is up to date
🌐 Browser Permissions (All Browsers)
Google Chrome

Go to:
chrome://settings/content/camera -
Ensure correct camera is selected

Repeat for:
chrome://settings/content/microphone -
Under “Allowed to use”, confirm your site is listed
- For mursion, this includes any sites ending in mursion.com
If blocked:

Remove the site from “Blocked”

Reload and allow when prompted
Safari

Open Safari → Settings → Websites tab

Select Camera and Microphone

Find your site and set to Allow
Microsoft Edge

Go to:
edge://settings/content/camera -
Select the correct device

Repeat for microphone

Ensure your site is allowed
Firefox

Click the lock icon 🔒 in the address bar

Click Connection secure → More information

Go to Permissions

Common issue:

Ensure your browser is toggled ON
